Geoff Lucas is an artist and
curator based near Inverness in the North of Scotland. He was born in
Middlesbrough in 1968 and studied Fine Art at Central St. Martin's College
of Art and Design, The Kent Institute of Art and Design and Duncan of
Jordanstone College of Art and Design, University of Dundee. In 2008
he co-founded HICA (the Highland Institute for Contemporary Art,
www.h-i-c-a.org ) an
artist-run space, public gallery and research project, which considers the
history and current understandings of Concrete Art. He is the recipient of
the 2010 Wilhelmina Barns-Graham PhD Scholarship and is currently
studying towards PhD at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design,
University of Dundee.
