The Language of Sculpture,
2010
A series of works derived
from illustrations in the 2002 edition of William Tucker’s book
The Language of Sculpture (Thames and Hudson Ltd, first published1974). The photographic reproductions
have been transformed through a process that involves scanning the images
with an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program, as used in
word-processing. The program’s reading of the illustrated sculpture’s
formal characteristics generates the text-based results. |
